Los Tulipanes farm is located about 6200 ft above sea in the east Andes. It just 5ha and so far it has only 1ha of coffee. Doña Tulia is very proud of the clean process that they are following with this coffee. No synthetic fertilizer or pesticide has been used. Although the common advice for the kind of coffee that is produced is to avoid shadow; they decided to keep the trees to give protection to the coffee and so far is working. The coffee is of better quality and the land is that is prone to erosion is being sheltered from it. In the farm the have a variety of citrus, avocado and plantain trees. All of produce is being use for personal consumption.
