Ceciliar Arias - Farmer

Cecilia is 65 years old. Her father gave her 500 coffee plants to plant and later, he purchased them back giving her a good start to buy her own farm. Now that the kids are independent, she and her husband Augusto take care of the farm. She hasgood humor and a positive actitude, she is looking forward to keep working in the coffee farm.

Don Augusto is 63 years old. He has been involve in the coffee world since he was a kid, working as a day labourer. 29 years ago they bougth this farm and have been their way of life since.He wants to buy a house in the closest town.

Farm

La Divisa del Zapote Farm is located in Manzanares, Caldas. Doña Cecilia and her husband bought the farm 29 years ago. In the 2 Hectareas there are 7200 coffee plants, 600 Caturra and 6600 Castillo. Beside coffee they have citrius trees, beans, corn and cassava.
