Luisa Guaragna San Judas Farm
Luisa and her sister Alina have a personal mission with their coffee farm. Now that they are both retired, they want to fulfill their father’s dream of making the coffee farm a source of excellent coffee and a place that brings job opportunities for the people in the area. For many years the farm was left unattended due to conflict in the region. Four years ago Luisa and Alina entered into a partnership with Manuel Matta, an agricultural engineer expert in coffee production. Today the farm is producing specialty coffees that are winning awards and their production model is setting an example for future coffee farmers in the Sierra Nevada region.
