Luisa Guaragna San Judas Farm

Luisa and her sister Alina have one special mission with the coffee farm. Now that they are both retired, they want to fulfill their father’s dream of making the coffee farm a source of excellent coffee and a place that brings job opportunities for the people in the area. For many years the farm was left alone due to conflicts in the region. Three years ago Luisa and Alina entered into a partnership with Manuel Matta, an expert agronomist engineer in coffee production. Today the farm is producing specialty coffees that are winning awards and their production model is setting an example for future coffee farmers.

Sensory Jouney

Dry fruit, nutty, mocha in fragrance and aroma. Sweet dry fruits in mouth. Medium acidity, creamy body. Chocolate and butter in a delicious aftertaste.

Luisa's parents bought their farm more than 62 years ago. The farm consists of a total of 27 ha. 9 ha are dedicated to growing coffee and more than 10 ha are virgin forests, providing the perfect environment to grow coffee. Luisa’s farmland is successful in part due to the abundance of tall eucalyptus tree, which provide shade to the coffee plants. The 'El Aguila' ravine originates here and provides the water used by the coffee farm, as well as the drinking water for a whole community. The water used in the coffee process later is treated to avoid polluting the farm and the environment.
